About us

The RECAB, Colombian Network of Organic Agriculture is an association of private law, social interest and non-profit organization that seeks to develop an environmental culture, the promotion of fair trade and the improvement of family farming activities.


Consolidate network activities of initiatives on alternative agriculture at local and regional level strengthening the presence of civil society actors in building a sustainable rural development proposal, seeking that benefits reach the most disadvantaged population groups.


In 2020 the Association RECAB will be a democratic and a benchmark organization, considering sustainable rural production, political incidence and environmental management of natural resources to all organizations engaged with agro-ecological processes in the department of Antioquia.


Develop plans, programs and projects that contribute to an environmental culture, the promotion of fair trade and economically viable agriculture, gender equity, socially just, environmentally sound and that tends to the preservation and improvement of rural life.


  1. To influence on public policies and budgets trough participatory community strategies thus the proposals of alternative agriculture are taken into account in governmental institutions plans.
  2. Improving the economy of rural families involved with partner organizations through the establishment of a distribution system of organic products that helps to increase consumption, sales and solidarity interchanges.
  3. Positioning of the proposals of alternative agriculture in the department of Antioquia through work in regional nodes, establishing strategic alliances and implementing training systems.
  4. Validate alternative agriculture proposals in the department of Antioquia, through design and implementation of methodologies to establish production systems, positioning demonstrative experiences with participatory research and develop technical solutions to the problems of agriculture.

  • Among with other organizations SOLIDARITY NETWORK ECONOMY OF ANTIOQUIA official member organization.

  • Articulation of social movements as Seeds of Identity, National Campaign for the Defense of Food Sovereignty, National Campaign for the Defense of the Right to Water.
